Dosbarth Cedar

Welcome to Dosbarth Cedar,

Wow!!!! First term is already over, and what a busy one it was. The children have settled in well and have produced some outstanding work.

Our topic within the Spring term is Journeys. We have lots of fun learning experiences planned and cannot wait to begin! We will looking at in detail at Shackleton and his adventures, learning about OS maps and symbols, Plotting and reading co-ordinates and planning our own journey to Llangollen.

Our PE days are on Monday and Thursday; we will also have a timetabled forest school session as part of our pyhsical learning. For the 1sh half term we will have swimming on a wednesday morning which will replace the Monday PE session. Children should come to school dressed in their correct PE kits which is a plain white t-shirt, black/navy shorts or jogging bottoms. Forest school outfit should be brought to school in a bag and your child is to come to school in uniform. Please make sure that your child has a coat, wellies/hiking boots and waterproofs/spare clothes as we work in all weathers.

Homework Information

Your child should be reading at least three times a week for ten minutes. They should regularly complete tasks on TT Rockstars (times tables) and BookBlog (reading) in order to improve and develop their skills at home. Some learners also have IDL logins to work from home.

If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to contact me on Seesaw during the hours stated on the school newsletter.
